Changing the mindset

I'm doing pretty well on this weight loss and exercise adventure so far.  Its definitely a plan I can live with for a long time.  But, I still get sad sometimes that I probably will never be able to eat all of the things I've really enjoyed.  The things I really LIKE to cook are creamy, fat FULL foods like potato soup or homebaked breads and goodies.  I don't know how to eat just one piece of one of them...I want to eat several.  :(
 
Oh well, Im learning new things to cook,  today we are having Cheesy Vegetable soup for dinner I think.   I got the recipe off http://www.healthdiscovery.net/forums/index.php?  the weightwatchers message board I go to a lot and it looks really good....just 1 pt per one cup serving.  (how do you eat soup without bread?....lol).
 
Well, I have a ton of things to get done today....gardening, cleaning, school with the kids.  I should stay fairly busy most of the day.
 
Oh and Im at 10 miles of walking now...its only April 6th, and I'm 1/4th of the way to my goal for the month :D

moving is a lot of fun!

WOWSER! who knew that walking could be so much fun?    My neighbor and I went walking this morning, and got in 2.2 miles before bkfast.   Yesterday I walked 11,400 steps as logged by my pedometer.  If you dont have a pedometer I recommend you get one!   My favorite is at www.sportbrain.com  but you can buy them on ebay for less money.   I have the step1x and I love that I can plug in to the computer and upload my steps.  It tells me that I walked right at 5 miles yesterday, along with how fast I was walking, how many steps, how many calories I burned during that walk...etc.   VERY COOL!!!!                                                                                                                                                     SO, I have 1.5 miles from my previous post, and 5 miles from yesterday and 2 miles so far today....    of my 40 mile walking challenge, Im already at 8.5 miles.   PIECE OF CAKE!!!

April Walking challenge

Okay... I'm starting a new walking challenge for the month of April.   Last month I planned to walk 40 miles and never made it past 10!  But, today is a new day, and I have already walked 1.5 today!   Why? why?  why can I not seem to stick it out for the full 2 mile WATP dvd?  Everytime I do that dvd, I make it to 1.5miles and just get too pooped to keep going.

Well, by the end of the month, I plan to be walking the full 2 mile tape at least 5 days a week!

This month I truly am going to WALK AWAY THE POUNDS!!!
